Royal Enfield has officially launched the Bullet 650 – opening an entirely new chapter for its oldest motorcycle line nearly a century after the original Bullet first appeared in 1932. Gold pinstripes, chrome peashooter exhausts and a massive parallel twin engine now come together under the Bullet name for the first time in India.
The motorcycle arrives in two paint finishes Cannon Black and Battleship Blue – priced at Rs. 3,64,856 ex showroom. Retail sales have already commenced across authorised dealerships in the country. Unlike several modern retro motorcycles chasing aggressive styling themes, the Bullet 650 remains heavily rooted in familiar proportions.
The rounded fuel tank, upright silhouette, bench style seat and traditional stance intentionally stay close to older Bullet generations but the motorcycle now moves into the brand’s larger twin cylinder lineup. Power comes from the well-known 648 cc parallel twin engine already seen across multiple Royal Enfield motorcycles.

The setup works alongside a six speed gearbox and slipper clutch arrangement delivering better cruising ability and highway performance than the smaller Bullet 350. Royal Enfield has not attempted to radically redesign the motorcycle mechanically either. A steel tubular spine frame forms the foundation while suspension duties are handled through Showa components.
The front uses 41 mm telescopic forks with 120 mm travel while the rear receives twin hydraulic shock absorbers offering 112 mm movement. Nineteen inch front and eighteen inch rear wheels maintain the classic roadster proportions associated with the Bullet badge.

Several traditional styling cues remain untouched. Hand painted pinstripes, wing shaped badging and the signature casquette assembly preserve the old school appearance while LED lighting now integrates into the setup more discreetly. The iconic tiger eye pilot lamps also continue to be part of the motorcycle.
The rider triangle itself follows a similarly familiar approach. Raised handlebars and a relaxed upright seating position prioritise long distance riding and easier everyday usability. Royal Enfield has opted for a simpler analogue instrument console coupled with a digital LCD inset carrying fuel information, trip data, gear position indicator and service reminders.
The Bullet nameplate has historically represented Royal Enfield most recognisable identity across generations and the 650 now pushes that legacy into a more premium bracket. Unlike the Interceptor 650 or Continental GT 650 which target very different rider styles, the Bullet 650 looks to be slotted in for customers wanting a larger engine motorcycle without losing the traditional visual stance associated with older Royal Enfield machines.
Interest around the motorcycle had already grown substantially after its EICMA 2025 debut followed by its India appearance at MotoVerse. With the launch complete, the Bullet line enters its biggest mechanical transition yet while still attempting to preserve the character that made the motorcycle iconic in the first place.
