Tata Motors’ popular micro-SUV, which was India’s best-selling car in the month of June 2026, got slightly more expensive
The new Tata Punch, launched in January 2026, has received a price hike this month. The facelifted micro-SUV’s prices have gone up only marginally, though, by up to Rs. 7,000. Tata Motors offers the new Punch in a wide range of configurations. The company gives a choice of eight different trims, three engines, and three transmissions. The CNG variant, available in seven trims with a 5-speed manual transmission and four trims with a 5-speed automated manual transmission, has received a price hike of Rs. 6,000 and 7,000, respectively.
The price hike in the case of the AMT configurations is applicable across the range. In case of the manual configurations, on the other hand, the Pure, Pure+, Adventure, Adventure S, and Accomplished trims have received the price hike, but not Smart and Pure+ S.
According to Tata Motors’ online configurator, the new Punch CNG now costs Rs. 6,79,990-9,40,990 (ex-showroom) with the manual transmission and Rs. 8,66,990-10,66,990 (ex-showroom) with the automated manual transmission. It has a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated three-cylinder engine that produces 73.4 PS (72.4 hp) and 103 Nm of torque running on CNG and 87.8 PS (86.6 hp) and 115 Nm of torque running on petrol.

As for the petrol variant, Tata Motors offers the new Punch with a choice of two engines: a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated three-cylinder unit and a segment-first 1.2-litre turbocharged three-cylinder unit. The naturally aspirated unit produces 87.8 PS (86.6 hp) and 115 Nm of torque and can be specified with a 5-speed manual transmission in eight different trims or a 5-speed automated manual transmission in five different trims.
The new Punch petrol with the naturally aspirated three-cylinder engine has received a price hike of Rs. 5,000 in the manual configurations and Rs. 6,000 in the AMT configurations. The price hike is applicable across manual configurations, but in case of the AMT configurations, the Pure+ S trim has been spared. Tata Motors’ online configurator lists their price range as Rs. 5,69,990-9,09,990 and Rs. 7,65,990-9,65,990, respectively, both ex-showroom.

The turbocharged three-cylinder engine of the new Punch petrol produces 120 PS (118 hp) and 170 Nm of torque. It is only available with a 6-speed manual transmission and has received a price hike of Rs. 5,000. Tata Motors offers it in two trims, priced at Rs. 8,39,990 (ex-showroom) and Rs. 9,89,990 (ex-showroom), respectively, as per the online configurator.
