New Suzuki Burgman Street is expected to get several styling upgrades while the engine could receive updates similar to the latest Access 125
Speculation around Suzuki Motorcycle India’s upcoming April 2, 2026 reveal continues to build with strong indications pointing towards a brand new Burgman Street 125. Although the brand has not officially confirmed the model name, the teaser imagery gives away enough cues to suggest that the maxi-style scooter is set for a major refresh after a long gap since its original launch.
The biggest visual change lies at the front where a newly designed split LED headlamp setup replaces the outgoing unit. Paired with integrated daytime running lights and a centrally positioned logo, the revised face gives the scooter a more premium look. The styling direction seems inspired by larger global products such as the Suzuki Burgman 400.
In addition to the new design, mechanical updates are also expected to play a big role. Drawing parallels with the latest Suzuki Access 125, the Burgman could receive internal engine revisions as part of upping mileage and overall refinement. The 124 cc motor in the current Burgman produces about 8.5 bhp maximum power and 10 Nm of peak torque.

Feature additions could further modernise the scooter. Updates may include a refreshed instrument cluster with connectivity options, redesigned alloy wheels and revised body panels. Changes at the rear including updated tail lamp styling are also likely while a new bronze paint option teased by the brand could also be introduced.
On the safety front, improvements are expected as well. With Suzuki recently equipping the Access 125 with single-channel ABS system, the same upgrade could be extended to the forthcoming Burgman Street range. Currently, the lineup comprises multiple variants with differing equipment levels including the EX version that features 12-inch wheels at both ends.

There is also growing chatter about future expansion of the lineup. A higher capacity version, possibly around 150 cc, has been speculated but the company has not confirmed any such plans at this stage. If introduced, it could push the Burgman range further up the segment ladder. In a similar way, the Avenis 125 could also receive a big upgrade in the near future.
