Hero Splendor+ and HF Deluxe Flex Fuel variants will initially be available in Delhi and select regions of Maharashtra from July 2026
Hero MotoCorp has officially entered India’s flex fuel two-wheeler space with the launch of the new Splendor+ Flex Fuel and HF Deluxe Flex Fuel. The launch is significant not only because these are Hero’s first flex fuel motorcycles but also because they become the first flex fuel offerings in the highly important 100 cc volume-based commuter segment.
Developed at Hero’s Centre for Innovation and Technology (CIT) in Jaipur, the motorcycles are compatible with ethanol-blended fuels ranging from E20 to E85 and will initially be available in Delhi and select regions of Maharashtra from July 2026 before a wider national rollout in the coming months.
The HF Deluxe Flex Fuel has been priced at Rs. 72,792 (ex-showroom, Delhi) while the Splendor+ Flex Fuel carries a sticker price of Rs. 82,710 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Both motorcycles retain their familiar character while incorporating mechanical upgrades necessary to support higher ethanol blends.

The homegrown manufacturer says the new models go in line with the government’s push towards alternative fuels, lower crude oil imports and improved energy security. Under the fuel tank, both motorcycles use a 97.2 cc single-cylinder engine producing 6.3 kW (8.45 hp) at 8,000 rpm and 8.3 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm when running on E85 fuel.
To enable compatibility with ethanol blends ranging from E20 to E85, Hero has introduced a revised ECU, upgraded fuel system components and calibration changes. The company claims the setup delivers enhanced performance compared to the standard petrol-powered versions. The Splendor+ Flex Fuel gains a few additional features over the standard model.

The motorcycle also gets unique Black and Lime Yellow graphics to distinguish it from the regular version. The HF Deluxe Flex Fuel receives a similar equipment package including a digi-analogue instrument console, side-stand engine cut-off feature and tubeless tyres.

Like the Splendor+, it also benefits from the upgraded ECU and revised fuel delivery system required for flex fuel compatibility. The motorcycle gains the same Black and Lime Yellow colour scheme introduced specifically for the flex fuel range. The launch comes at a time when ethanol utilisation is becoming an increasingly important part of every brand’s mobility strategy.
The new motorcycles offer consumers an alternative pathway towards lower emissions without requiring a major transition towards EVs. Given the popularity of the Splendor and HF Deluxe nameplates in the domestic market, Hero’s launches could play a big role in accelerating flex fuel acceptance.
