The total dispatches of Hero MotoCorp for the financial year so far have reached 11,36,154 units compared to 8,13,107 units
Exports nearly doubled, electric vehicle registrations more than doubled and domestic demand remained in positive territory as rather than relying on a single segment, Hero MotoCorp’s May 2026 volume performance was taken care of by growth across multiple areas of its business in India as well as abroad.
The most important figure came from international markets as Hero exported 33,284 motorcycles and scooters last month compared to 18,704 units in the same month last year with a 78 per cent increase. As has been the case in recent times, the brand’s electric portfolio via its sub-brand has been delivering impressive numbers.
Vida registered 19,052 vehicles through the Vahan portal in May – posting a huge 166 per cent increase compared to the corresponding period last year. The company further expanded its electric portfolio during the month by commencing retail operations of the DIRT.E K3 in select markets.

While exports and EVs grabbed attention, the domestic business remained the centerpiece of Hero’s overall performance. The company dispatched 5,36,784 vehicles in India in May 2026 – up from 4,88,997 units a year earlier and Vahan registrations stood at 4,96,957 units. Overall dispatches reached 5,70,068 units last month compared to 5,07,701 units with a 12 per cent growth.
Its motorcycle series continued to account for the majority of volumes as dispatches increased to 5,03,763 units from 4,75,164 units. Scooters, however, delivered the fastest growth within the local portfolio. Its volumes jumped to 66,305 units against 32,537 units recorded during May of 2025. Another important development came in the commuter motorcycle category last month as Hero introduced the new Super Splendor XTEC 2.0.

The opening months of FY27 have also started in a positive manner. The total dispatches for the financial year so far have reached 11,36,154 units compared to 8,13,107 units during the corresponding period of FY26. Exports stood at 66,937 units while motorcycle and scooter dispatches reached 10,05,554 units and 1,30,600 units respectively.
