Skoda Kodiaq RS arrives with 2.0L TSI engine, 7-speed DSG, 4×4 system and a 0-100 kmph sprint time of 6.3 seconds; only 50 units in first batch
Skoda Auto India has launched the Kodiaq RS at Rs. 66.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The performance-based SUV sits above the Laurin & Klement variant and arrives through the CBU route with only 50 units allocated for the first batch. Bookings for the first batch opened earlier for Rs. 3 lakh and Skoda says all 50 units were booked in just six minutes.
The RS badge already has a strong enthusiast base in India helped by the Octavia RS lineage that began more than two decades ago. The 2025 Octavia RS also sold out in 20 minutes. Power comes from a 1,984 cc, four-cylinder TSI turbo petrol engine churning out 265 hp and 400 Nm between 1,650 rpm and 4,350 rpm. The motor is paired with a seven-speed DSG automatic transmission while a 4×4 system is standard.
The Kodiaq RS can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 6.3 seconds and has an electronically limited top speed of 231 kmph. Skoda has also equipped it with Progressive Steering, drive modes and Dynamic Chassis Control Plus. The SUV runs on 20-inch Elias alloy wheels. Suspension hardware consists of McPherson struts at the front and a multi-element rear axle.
