2026 Renault Kwid Facelift Launched In India At Rs. 4.52 Lakh

Updated 2026 Kwid gets new Renault logo, simplified variant range and Climber available at an effective price of Rs. 4.99 lakh through online benefit

Renault India has launched the updated Kwid with revised styling, a simplified variant lineup and new pricing – looking to appeal to first-time car buyers. Prices now start at Rs. 4.52 lakh and go all the way up to Rs. 5.60 lakh (ex-showroom). The company has also announced a Rs. 15,000 online cash benefit on the Climber variant – reducing its effective transactional price to Rs. 4.99 lakh.

One of the biggest changes is the introduction of Renault’s latest brand identity. The refreshed hatchback gains the company’s new logo while retaining its SUV-inspired stance. The range has also been streamlined into just two trims – Evolution and Climber – replacing the earlier multi-variant lineup and making the purchasing process way too easier.

As we told you before, the familiar 1.0-litre three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine continues under the bonnet. Customers can choose between a five-speed manual gearbox and the a five-speed AMT automatic transmission. The AMT variants also feature Renault’s rotary gear selector. The powertrain kicks out 69 bhp max power and 91 Nm of peak torque.

The feature list remains comprehensive for the segment. The Kwid continues with an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a fully digital instrument cluster, rear-view camera with guidelines, remote keyless entry, central locking, power steering, power windows, USB and Bluetooth connectivity.

Renault has also retained the Kwid’s practicality. It offers 184 mm of ground clearance and a boot volume of 279 litres – both remaining among the top figures in the entry-level hatchback category. The Climber variant continues to distinguish itself with exclusive exterior styling, dual-tone interiors, wheel arch cladding and rugged cosmetic enhancements over the standard model.

The safety features list in the 2026 Renault Kwid comprises dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, seat belt reminders and a total of 17 standard safety bits across the range. The French auto major says the refreshed model continues its focus on first-time buyers while simplifying ownership through an easier variant lineup and a digital purchasing platform. The Kwid has been on sale in India since 2015 and has crossed 4.5 lakh unit sales.
