Toyota Innova Hycross GX Limited Edition

Toyota Innova HyCross led the hybrid car sales in FY26 with a total of 62,586 units as it finished ahead of its sibling, the Hyryder

In the above Rs. 15 lakh segment and going all the way up to the luxury space, the impact of hybridised models can be felt undoubtedly as the early movers are making strides. Toyota and Maruti Suzuki have been utilising their hybrid technology across different price brackets in recent years and their volume numbers are more than evident of their success.

The hybrid PV segment finished FY26 with total sales of 1,23,503 units as Toyota and Maruti Suzuki accounted for nearly the entire market leaving Honda as the only other manufacturer with any meaningful presence. The Toyota Innova HyCross was the undisputed leader of the hybrid segment – selling 62,586 units and commanding a 50.7 per cent share.

One in every two hybrid cars sold in India last FY was an Innova HyCross. The model’s strong hybrid powertrain, three-row practicality and premium positioning have made it the go-to choice for family customers who are willing to pay for the efficiency benefits of electrified technology without committing to a full EV.
