In the list of top 10 bikes in FY26, Hero Splendor sat first ahead of Honda Shine, Bajaj Pulsar, Hero HF Deluxe and TVS Apache series

The commuter and performance motorcycle market recorded another notable financial year in FY26 with trusted commuter brands staying put their dominance while sporty and lifestyle motorcycles also posted good numbers. The latest top ten list shows how value, fuel efficiency, low running costs and brand trust still remain the biggest deciding factors for consumers.

At the very top, the Hero Splendor remained completely unchallenged with massive sales of 37,27,739 units. No other motorcycle in the country comes close to its scale. The Splendor continues to be the backbone of Hero MotoCorp’s domestic volumes thanks to its simple mechanical package, high mileage, widespread service network and deep reach.

The second position was secured by the Honda Shine with 19,87,466 units. The Shine has built a reputation over the years and the expansion of the range has proved to be doing wonders. The Bajaj Pulsar family finished third with 13,99,491 units. Even after many years in the market, Pulsar enjoys strong recall among younger generation.

Bajaj’s wide portfolio spanning entry-level to larger displacement models has helped the brand stay relevant. The fourth position went to the Hero HF Deluxe with 10,12,199 units. The HF Deluxe is one of the strongest budget-based motorcycles available in the country. TVS Motor Company had a solid year with two products in the top ten.

The TVS Apache range secured fifth place with 5,71,376 units. The Apache has steadily evolved into one of India’s most respected sporty motorcycle brands offering good performance credentials and multiple engine choices. Right behind it was the TVS Raider in sixth with 4,26,877 units. Its sporty commuter design, modern features and value proposition have made it one of the popular 125 cc motorcycles in India.

Royal Enfield continued to dominate the midsize lifestyle segment. The Royal Enfield Classic 350 took seventh place with 4,10,347 units – proving its enduring popularity. The Bullet 350 also made the top ten in ninth position with 2,55,699 units. The Bajaj Platina came eighth with 4,07,451 units and rounding out the list was the Hero Passion with 2,48,621 unit sales.
