Mini Cooper S GP Inspired Edition is limited to just 30 units and is equipped with the John Cooper Works Pack in India
Mini India has opened pre-launch bookings for the Cooper S GP Inspired Edition today ahead of its market debut, confirming the arrival of a highly exclusive version of its performance-based hatchback. Reservations began at 3 PM with customer deliveries scheduled to start within the same month. Limited to just 30 units, the special edition will look to appeal to enthusiasts looking for distinctive styling.
The GP Inspired Edition is derived from the Cooper S equipped with the JCW Pack and takes inspiration from the brand’s motorsport legacy. It has been positioned as a tribute to Mini’s racing roots combining aggressive visual enhancements with a sporty attire. Compared to the standard model, the limited-run model stands out with several bespoke elements when compared to the standard version.
On the outside, the Mini Cooper S GP Inspired Edition will be finished in an exclusive Legend Grey shade which is complemented by JCW-inspired styling details. These additions give it a sharper and more purposeful stance while visually linking it to the hardcore GP models. Customers can secure their booking through authorised Mini dealerships spread across major cities in India.

The special edition continues Mini’s strategy of introducing limited variants to keep the lineup engaging. Powering the model is a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder BMW B48 turbocharged petrol engine that develops 201 bhp and 300 Nm of torque. The motor is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. As per claimed figures, the car can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in around 6.6 seconds.
Mini’s retail footprint in India currently includes 12 sales touchpoints across nine cities such as Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Kochi, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Jaipur and Jodhpur. Service support is handled through the expansive BMW Group India network which operates 51 service facilities across 36 cities.
