New flagship Vida electric scooter gets a bigger 4.4 kWh battery pack, 90 kmph top speed, DC fast charging and sets an Asia Book of Records milestone
Hero MotoCorp’s electric mobility brand Vida has expanded its VX2 portfolio with the introduction of the new VIDA VX2 Plus 4.4 kWh as it has added a longer range option. Priced at Rs. 1,43,990 (effective ex-showroom, New Delhi) after applicable incentives and offers, the new flagship variant becomes the fourth model in the VX2 family.
Alongside the launch, the company announced that the scooter has entered the Asia Book of Records after completing a 12,111 km cross-country ride – establishing the record for the Longest Journey by an Electric Scooter. The new range-topping VX2 Plus boasts an extended riding range without compromising practicality.
It draws power from dual removable 2.2 kWh lithium-ion battery packs – taking the combined battery capacity to 4.4 kWh. According to the brand, the scooter delivers an IDC-certified range of 187 km between charges – placing it among the longest range electric scooters currently available in the country. Performance also receives an upgrade through a 6 kW peak output electric motor producing 26 Nm of torque.

It enables a claimed top speed of 90 kmph. Riders can select between Eco, Ride and Sport modes while a dedicated Boost function provides greater acceleration during overtaking. Vida has bundled the VX2 Plus with what it describes as the industry’s first 1 kW portable charger which is capable of charging the battery from 0 to 80 per cent in 3 hours and 30 minutes.
Consumers also have access to DC fast charging – reducing the same charging cycle to 65 minutes. The company says owners can utilise its network comprising more than 6,000 fast charging stations and over 700 service touchpoints spread across the nation. The equipment list has also been consolidates this time around.

The scooter comes equipped with a 4.3-inch TFT instrument display, smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, over-the-air software updates, 27.2 litres of under-seat storage and a Combined Braking System (CBS). The removable battery arrangement allows charging away from the scooter – addressing one of the biggest concerns among EV users without dedicated parking or charging facilities.
Vida also used the launch to demonstrate the new variant’s endurance credentials. The VX2 Plus completed a 12,111 km ride over 52 consecutive days – travelling from Bengaluru to Delhi while covering every Kolkata Knight Riders IPL host city along the route. The expedition, undertaken by rider Girish Shet, earned the scooter an entry into the Asia Book of Records for the Longest Journey by an Electric Scooter.
In addition to outright purchase, the Vida VX2 Plus has also been made available through the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) programme – offering customers greater flexibility in ownership costs. Deliveries of the new VIDA VX2 Plus 4.4 kWh are scheduled to begin by the end of July 2026 through authorised dealerships nationwide.
