2026 Honda City Facelift Spied 1

2026 Honda City gets cosmetic revisions and interior enhancements while the familiar mechanical package will continue

Just a few days before the official May 22 launch, the 2026 Honda City facelift has been spotted at a dealership without any camouflage giving us another clear look yet at what Honda has done to refresh its midsize sedan for the Indian market. The images show a white unit outside a Honda dealership at night with the full exterior visible from the front, rear and three quarter angles.

The front end is where the changes are more apparent. A sharply restyled bumper with large angular black inserts dominates the lower half and is flanked by redesigned LED headlamps with a more aggressive light signature. A slim LED daytime running light strip runs across the full width of the front giving the 2026 City a considerably sportier face compared to the outgoing model.

The bonnet appears largely unchanged but the front fascia transformation makes the sedan look noticeably different from the outgoing version. At the rear, the tail lamp cluster has been completely reworked with a connected LED light bar running across the width of the boot lid. The rear bumper also gets a redesign with a more sculpted lower section and black detailing that echoes the front end treatment.

The side profile retains the familiar sedan proportions as the same roofline, door layout and overall stance carry over. However, new alloy wheel designs are visible in the images adding to the refreshed exterior package. The 2026 City facelift is the second update to the fifth generation model following a refresh back in 2023.

Honda is set to launch it alongside the ZR-V SUV on May 22 too with the facelift expected to carry forward the existing 121 hp producing 1.5-litre petrol and 126 hp developing hybrid powertrain. Both manual and CVT gearbox configurations will be offered. The more substantive changes on the 2026 City are expected inside where a larger touchscreen, digital instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, powered driver seat and an optional 360 degree camera are likely.
