Boost Mode, terrain modes and multi-level regenerative braking are part of the drive package. Tata also claims more than 50 per cent restart gradeability and more than 60 per cent running gradeability. These figures place the Sierra EV as a more capable electric SUV than a regular front-wheel-drive midsize EV. Practicality has received attention as well as it boasts a 622-litre boot and a 55-litre frunk.

Vehicle-to-Load support is rated at 3.3 kW while Vehicle-to-Vehicle charging is rated at 5 kW. These functions allow the SUV to power external devices and also transfer charge to another EV. The cabin has a triple-screen dashboard in higher variants and even the base equipment list itself includes a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 10.3-inch digital instrument cluster. Electronic parking brake, rear AC vents, rear window sunblind and fully automatic temperature control are also part of the standard features list.
Tata has confirmed wireless Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay along with an EV route planner for Android Auto. The IRA.ev connected car suite is offered with a four-year free subscription and higher variants add a JBL Black premium audio system, Dolby Atmos, Apple CarPlay integrated with Dolby Atmos, multiple JBL sound profiles and first-in-segment Soundbar Mode.

The safety and parking suite has several notable additions. Six airbags and all-wheel disc brakes are present too. Top-spec variants bring Level 2+ ADAS, Auto Park Assist, 540-degree surround view, transparent bonnet view and Summon Mode which allows the vehicle to move forward or backward remotely in tight parking spaces.
The exterior feature list includes multi-link suspension, 18-inch alloy wheels, Bi-LED auto projector headlamps and rear wiper with washer. The Sierra EV also carries Tata’s latest EV styling cues with a closed-off front section, connected lighting, flush door handles, thick cladding and an upright silhouette inspired by the original Sierra.
