Tata Motors has already disclosed several details ahead of the Sierra EV’s market launch and here we got you covered with all the key details
Tata Motors will launch the Sierra EV in India tomorrow and the SUV has already been previewed through multiple teasers revealing exterior styling, cabin and technical highlights ahead of its official debut in production form. The latest teaser indicates the presence of a centre console which houses a dedicated Boost Mode button while the digital driver’s display shown in the video indicates a remaining driving range of 424 km with the battery charged to 80 per cent.
Based on the displayed figure, the Sierra EV could offer a claimed driving range of around 530 km on a full charge. The latest footage also confirms terrain modes and selectable regenerative braking levels. The driver’s display changes according to the selected settings while the centre console carries physical shortcut controls for different vehicle functions. An electronic parking brake, rotary controller, wireless charging pad and sizeable storage area are also visible between the front seats.
The dashboard follows Tata’s latest interior theme with a wide display panel stretching across the cabin. It houses multiple digital screens along with a two-spoke multifunction steering wheel carrying the illuminated logo. Other visible equipment includes a panoramic sunroof, auto-dimming inside rear-view mirror and adjustable front head restraints.

Tata has already confirmed that the Sierra EV will be offered with multiple battery configurations. The entry-level version is expected to feature a 65 kWh battery pack while the flagship QWD variant will share the 75 kWh battery available in the Harrier EV. The dual-motor QWD system will deliver all-wheel-drive capability making the Sierra EV the second Tata passenger EV to receive the technology.
Earlier teasers have already showcased the exterior in detail. The production model carries an upright silhouette inspired by the original Sierra coupled with flush-fitting door handles, connected LED lighting at both ends, squared wheel arches, thick body cladding, silver skid plates and large alloy wheels. The signature wraparound rear-quarter glass has also been retained as a nod to the classic Sierra.

The Sierra EV is expected to receive a comprehensive equipment list comprising Level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, connected car technology, ventilated and powered front seats, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, 12-speaker JBL audio system, multiple drive modes, six airbags as standard, vehicle-to-load and vehicle-to-vehicle charging functions along with a range of safety equipment.
The five-seater electric midsize SUV will play an important role in Tata’s PV roadmap as multiple new launches have been planned over the next few years. It will be followed by the Avinya premium electric range while the company has also indicated additional EV nameplates in its future portfolio. The Sierra EV will slot above the Curvv EV.
