Suzuki marked 20 years of manufacturing operations in India in April 2026 and set two national and continental records with the Burgman scooter during the same month along with hosting its flagship Suzuki Matsuri festival in Mumbai and launching a new special edition while closing the month with 1,17,514 units in total sales.

Exports were the stronger performer of the two as the shipping tally rose 10 per cent to 19,510 units from 17,734 units in the same month last year.

Spare parts revenue rounded out another positive month for the Japanese brand as it reached Rs 91.59 crore with a 14 per cent increase over April 2025. The 2026 Burgman Street is built on a new lightweight chassis shared with the Access 125 – bringing a 25 per cent improvement in torsional rigidity over the outgoing model. The visual changes are immediately apparent – twin-pod LED headlamps replace the earlier single unit, the side panels have been redesigned and a taller smoked visor adds to the maxi-scooter stance. Mechanically, 12-inch wheels are now fitted at both ends across all variants, a change that was previously reserved for the EX variant alone.
