The inaugural Royal Enfield Himalayan Base Camp is a three-day gathering set to happen at 11,480 feet above sea level between September 4 and 6
Royal Enfield has announced its Himalayan Base Camp with the maiden edition all set to take place in Leh, Ladakh between September 4 and 6, 2026. To happen at 11,480 feet above sea level, the three-day gathering is open to riders, overlanders, climbers, cyclists and anyone for whom outdoor adventure is a serious pursuit.
The activity roster goes well beyond motorcycling. Kayaking, bouldering, mountaineering, cycling and overlanding are all part of the programme – supported by skill-based workshops and expert-led sessions throughout the three days. The format is built around active participation as attendees are expected to get involved directly rather than observe from the sidelines with curated expeditions forming a core part of the camp.
Mohit Dhar Jayal, Chief Brand Officer at Royal Enfield, described the Base Camp as a meeting ground for adventurers of all kinds whether their motivation is engines, physical challenge or the draw of high-altitude terrain. The programme is designed to push participants out of familiar territory and send them back with new skills and experiences gained at altitude.

The decision to host the event in Ladakh is closely tied to Royal Enfield’s history with the region. The Himalayan motorcycle has made the Leh-Manali and Leh-Srinagar routes part of mainstream motorcycling culture in India and the Base Camp builds on that connection by expanding into a multi-discipline adventure platform.
Registrations open May 1, 2026 and full details are available at Royal Enfield’s authorised website. In the last financial year, the Chennai-based manufacturer recorded total sales of over 12 lakh units with a 23 per cent surge on a year-on-year basis. With increasing export volumes, the Himalayan 450 has been well received by consumers.

In the near future, the Himalayan range will see the addition of a larger 750 cc model while an all-electric variant has also been under development.
