Mahindra is developing a range of new SUVs across different segments over the next two to three years and here we have explained them

A sub-four-metre SUV inspired by the Vision S concept is among the more interesting products Mahindra & Mahindra has been testing over the last several months. Expected to arrive around 2027, it will ride on the NU_IQ monocoque architecture and sit above the XUV 3XO in the lineup. On the ICE front, both the Scorpio N is headed for a mid-cycle facelift.

Spotted test mules point to minor exterior tweaks and interior upgrades as it will look to keep up with the growing competition in the midsize SUV segment. The Scorpio N will carry forward its existing 2.0-litre petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engines without any mechanical changes. The three-door Thar is similarly due for a refresh as notable changes are likely inside and out.

Camouflaged prototypes indicate styling updates drawn from the Thar Roxx along with a more tech packed cabin featuring additional digital elements and an expanded feature list. Mahindra’s electric lineup, built around the INGLO platform, has performed well since launch with over 50,000 unit sales since its market debut as the brand endures consistent demand across the range. The Vision X concept may also give rise to a new compact crossover in the future.

Building on that, Mahindra is developing a more rugged derivative of the BE 6 which is expected to carry the Rall-E name. It will use the same INGLO platform along with the same battery and motor setup as the standard model but will be distinguished by a taller stance, increased ground clearance, chunkier tyres and more pronounced body cladding suited for off-road use.

The model has already been previewed via a concept. Further up the EV range, the BE.07 is slated to arrive as early as next year. At approximately 4.6 metres in length, it will sit above the BE 6 and serve as the flagship of Mahindra’s electric portfolio. Separately, an electric version of the Thar is also in development but a timeline hasn’t been confirmed yet.

The brand’s future product plan covers new electric SUVs, off-road based vehicles, compact SUVs and mid-cycle updates spread across the next two to three years.
