Maruti Suzuki sold more than 10,000 units of popular cars such as the Swift, Fronx, Alto, Baleno, Wagon R, Victoris, Ertiga, and Dzire among others
Maruti Suzuki sold a total of 1,47,187 vehicles in June 2026 while registering a YoY growth of 24 percent as 1,18,906 units were retailed during the same month last year. However, the MoM sales volumes went down by 23 percent as 1,90,337 units were dispatched in May 2026. The primary reason behind the decline in MoM sales is said to be the scheduled one-week production shutdown across its factories last month, which had to be carried out as routine bi-annual maintenance and inventory re-alignment exercise.
The Dzire sedan was the leading Maruti Suzuki model in June 2026. It posted sales of 17,899 units last month with a YoY growth of 16 percent against 15,484 units in June 2025. The Wagon R was the second best-selling Maruti Suzuki car in June 2026 with retail volumes of 16,952 units and 31 percent YoY growth as 12,930 units were sold during the corresponding month last year.
The Ertiga and Swift secured the third and fourth positions with sales of 16,111 units and 15,215 units, respectively, in June 2026. Both the models recorded positive YoY growth in double digits. The Fronx was at the fifth spot with sales rising from 9,815 units in June 2025 to 13,135 units in June 2026 with a strong YoY growth of 34 percent.

Maruti Baleno also had a decent run last month as 12,488 units were sold with a YoY growth of 39 percent. However, it was the entry-level hatchback Alto that posted the highest YoY growth of 106 percent as sales increased from 5,045 units in June 2025 to 10,388 units in June 2026. It was the only mass-market model in Maruti Suzuki’s portfolio to register a MoM growth.
The Eeco and Victoris also breached the 10k sales mark with volumes of 10,230 units and 10,035 units, respectively. The sales of Brezza took a blow as numbers came down to 9,939 units in June 2026 from 14,507 units in June 2025 with a YoY de-growth of 31 percent. It could be due to the fact that the facelifted version of the SUV is launching on July 23 and hence, buyers are waiting for it eagerly rather than opting for the older model.

The Grand Vitara and XL6, both sold via the NEXA showrooms, also witnessed double digit YoY growth in June 2026. However, the popular hatchback models such as the Celerio and S-Presso recorded a steady YoY decline in retail volumes. The company didn’t sell a single unit of the Ciaz and Ignis in June 2026. The sales of the Jimny were also down marginally on a YoY basis while the Invicto retail volumes increased YoY by 32 percent.
