Green SM has introduced the VinFast Limo Green electric SUV to Indian roads in a commercial passenger transport role
The country’s electric mobility ecosystem has gained a new entrant with Green SM officially commencing operations today. The company has launched Green SM Limo in New Delhi and more significantly, the service introduces the VinFast Limo Green electric SUV to Indian roads in a commercial passenger transport role – making India the fifth international market for Green SM after Vietnam, Laos, Indonesia and the Philippines.
Green SM is betting entirely on electric mobility from day one and the company has started operations across key parts of the Delhi NCR region and plans to gradually expand coverage based on requirement. The launch also coincides with World Environment Day as the brand positions itself as a sustainable urban transportation provider.
At the centre of the service is the VinFast Limo Green – a fully electric seven-seater SUV developed specifically for passenger transportation duties. Unlike conventional ride-hailing vehicles, the Limo Green looks to enable passenger comfort from the outset with a spacious three-row cabin designed to accommodate family travel, airport transfers, corporate commuting and intercity transportation requirements.

The vehicle’s all-electric powertrain ensures silent operation and zero tailpipe emissions while contributing to lower operating costs as well. Every Green SM Limo vehicle comes equipped with the company’s Secure-to-Safe system incorporating interior and exterior cameras, AI-enabled monitoring technology and emergency assistance buttons accessible to both drivers and passengers.
Additional amenities such as drinking water, wet tissues and convenience features are also provided as part of the premium service positioning. Green SM says all drivers undergo dedicated training programmes covering electric vehicle operations, road safety and customer service standards. The company refers to them as “Green Drivers” and has built its “Ride 5 Star” service philosophy around vehicle quality, safety, professionalism and customer experience.

Positioned differently from the VF MPV 7, it is equipped with a 60.13 kWh battery pack enabling a claimed range of 517 km. The battery supports DC fast charging up to 80 kW which helps replenish from 10 to 70 per cent in just 30 minutes. The front axle mounted electric motor makes 201 bhp and 280 Nm allowing it to go from 0 to 100 kmph in under 9 seconds.
The approach mirrors the model already deployed across its Southeast Asian operations. Besides ride-hailing services, Green SM is also looking to build a sustainability ecosystem in India. At the launch event, the company onboarded five local partners from mobility, travel, technology and service sectors into its Green Alliance Frontier initiative.

Its India launch shows another step in Green SM’s rapid international expansion. Established in Vietnam in 2023, the company has quickly expanded its footprint across multiple Asian markets using a fully electric operating model. With Delhi NCR serving as its first Indian base, Green SM will now attempt to establish itself in one of the world’s largest mobility markets.
