2026 Tata Tigor facelift is expected to get notable cosmetic changes while interior enhancements could mirror that of its sibling, the Tiago
Tata Motors has patented the design of the 2026 Tigor in India pointing that the compact sedan could receive an update soon. The patent images show the sedan from multiple angles and reveal styling revisions linked closely to the recently updated Tiago. The Tigor has been one of the few remaining sub-four-metre sedans in India and it has been through two mid-cycle updates already.
The front fascia seen in the patent images carries a redesigned bumper with a wider lower intake and horizontal slats. The upper section looks slimmer than the outgoing model while the headlamp area also seems to have been reshaped. The bonnet line stays fairly clean but the nose looks sharper due to the flatter front panel and revised bumper surfacing.
The side profile retains the familiar notchback body style of the Tigor. The roofline flows into the short boot while the rising window line and compact rear deck remain key parts of the sedan’s silhouette. The patent images also show new alloy wheel designs, mildly revised side surfacing, familiar door handles and the four-door layout.

The rear section receives more noticeable changes. The tail lamp area has been redesigned while the boot lid looks flatter and cleaner than before. The bumper now gets larger sculpted sections at the corners, a revised number plate recess and a more upright lower portion. The overall treatment should help the Tigor look closer to the latest Tiago.
The Tiago facelift, launched recently in India, brought a redesigned exterior, updated cabin and more equipment. The hatchback gained features such as LED headlamps, LED tail lamps, 15-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a fully digital instrument cluster, wireless phone charging, automatic climate control with rear vents, cruise control and paddle shifters for AMT variants. The Tigor facelift could borrow several of these additions.

The cabin could also receive an updated dashboard layout similar to the updated Tiago. The larger touchscreen, digital cluster, revised centre console, new trims and more features should give the sedan a more current feel. Mechanical changes are not expected though as the current Tigor’s 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine producing around 86 hp and 113 Nm could be retained.
It is coupled with a five-speed manual or a five-speed AMT. The CNG version uses the same engine in a lower state of tune developing around 73 hp and 95 Nm and is offered with manual as well as AMT gearbox choices. The Tigor EV could receive similar cosmetic and cabin updates. The electric sedan may get the revised front and rear design, updated lighting elements, new wheels and Tiago EV-inspired interior equipment. The battery, motor, and range figures are not expected to change.

The launch timeline of the 2026 Tigor range has not been officially confirmed but the design patent suggests that the model is moving closer to a market debut.
