In the list of top 10 most sold scooters in May 2026, Honda Activa dominated by nearly doubling the sales of second place finisher TVS Jupiter

The scooter segment posted a healthy May 2026 showing led once again by the Honda Activa. The top 10 scooters together accounted for 6,41,680 units during the month compared with 5,21,431 units in May 2025. The list registered an increase of 1,20,249 units on a year-on-year basis with appreciable activity across petrol and electric scooter categories.

The Honda Activa held the first position with 2,28,955 units in May 2026 against 1,90,713 units during the same month last year. The scooter added 38,242 units and posted 20.05 per cent year-on-year growth. The Activa alone contributed more than one-third of the top 10 scooter volume – keeping a wide gap over the rest of the field.

The TVS Jupiter finished second with 1,24,767 units – up from 97,606 units in May 2025. The scooter gained 27,161 units and recorded 27.83 per cent growth as it was the only other scooter with a five figure tally. The Suzuki Access took third place with 75,729 units – almost flat compared with 75,778 units last year – resulting in a marginal 0.06 per cent decline.

The TVS iQube ranked fourth and became the most sold electric scooter in the table again. The model registered 42,192 units in May 2026 compared with 27,642 units during the same period last year. The year-on-year gain stood at 14,550 units while growth reached 52.64 per cent. The Bajaj Chetak came next with 38,376 units – up from 25,540 units with a 50.26 per cent growth.

The TVS Ntorq secured sixth position with 34,127 units compared with 25,205 units in the same month last year. The scooter added 8,922 units and recorded 35.40 per cent growth. The Hero Destini 125 delivered the highest percentage gain in the top 10 – rising from 15,018 units to 26,482 units. The gain stood at 11,464 units and the growth rate reached 76.34 per cent.

The Suzuki Burgman finished eighth with 25,835 units – up from 24,688 units during the corresponding period twelve months ago. The scooter saw a modest increase of 1,147 units and 4.65 per cent growth. The Honda Dio stood ninth with 23,814 units – down from 26,220 units – resulting in a decline of 2,406 units and 9.18 per cent.

The Yamaha RayZR completed the top 10 with 21,403 units compared with 13,023 units last year. The scooter gained 8,380 units and posted 64.35 per cent growth.
