Renault has confirmed that India will be one of its top three global markets by 2030 – backed by its largest-ever product offensive comprising 7 models

Renault Group has laid out a new plan for the Indian market under its “futuREady India” strategy with emphasis on upcoming products that will play a crucial role in shaping its growth. The French automaker has confirmed that India will be one of its top three global markets by 2030 – backed by its largest-ever product offensive comprising a total of seven models made specifically for local consumers.

At the heart of this strategy is a completely refreshed lineup that will appeal to multiple segments – ranging from compact cars to midsize and premium SUVs. Among the most important upcoming launches is the all-new Renault Duster which has already generated strong interest following its debut earlier this year.

It will be joined by an all-new B-segment SUV previewed by the Bridger Concept recently. It is expected to arrive as a multi-energy offering including internal combustion, hybrid and fully electric powertrain options. Renault has confirmed that the entire portfolio of seven models will be built on two new modular platforms – RGEP and RGMP – both engineered with a multi-energy approach.

Thus, customers can expect a wide choice of powertrains such as petrol, strong hybrid and EV options based on the segment and positioning. In addition to new models, Renault is also consolidating its long term customer proposition in India. As part of its renewed bit, the company will introduce a 7-year warranty program under its “Renault Forever” initiative.

India will also play a much bigger role globally for Renault. The brand is transforming its Chennai facility into a key technology and engineering hub with over 6,000 engineers working on vehicle development, software and future mobility solutions. Additionally, Renault now has full ownership of its manufacturing operations in Chennai allowing deeper localisation and better control over production and supply chains.

The brand is also positioning India as a major export base – targeting €2 billion in annual exports by 2030 through vehicles, components and engineering services. In the current fiscal, Renault will introduce the three-row version of the Duster while the Bridger-based compact SUV will be slotted below the Duster and above Kiger.
