Mini Convertible JCW Pack gives a sportier visual identity inside and out; powered by a 2.0L turbo petrol engine producing 204 hp
Mini India has launched the Convertible John Cooper Works Pack in the country priced at Rs 61.50 lakh (ex-showroom). It arrives as a completely built-up import and is available for booking at all Mini India dealerships across the country with deliveries commencing immediately and will be offered in limited numbers only.
The JCW Pack gives a sportier visual identity to the Convertible without changing the underlying car. On the outside, the JCW-specific treatment includes a revised front grille, reworked bumpers, side skirts and door entry sills along with Piano Black exterior trim and wheel arch cladding. Two colour options are on offer namely Legend Grey and Midnight Black.
The former gets black mirror caps and sport stripes. Completing the exterior are aerodynamically optimised 17-inch JCW Sprint Spoke Black alloy wheels and vertically aligned oval LED tail lamps at the rear. The electrically operated soft top can be fully lowered in 18 seconds at speeds of up to 30 kmph and closed again in 15 seconds.

It can also be partially opened to a length of 40 centimetres – functioning like a sunroof at any speed. Boot space stands at 160 litres with the roof down and 215 litres with it up. Standard LED headlights come with three selectable light signatures and a welcome animation with Mini logo projections on the sides.
The cabin carries JCW sports seats trimmed in a Vescin and Cord combination with JCW-spec black upholstery, dashboard trim and steering wheel with paddle shifters. The centrepiece of the dashboard is a round OLED display referred to as the Mini Interaction Unit and it combines instrument cluster and infotainment functions in a single screen. A Toggle Bar Island provides quick access to start/stop, gear selector, parking brake, driving modes and volume control with wireless charging located in the storage area below.

The car runs on Mini Operating System 9 with an interface designed around smartphone-style app logic. The intelligent personal assistant responds to the “Hey MINI” wake word and can handle navigation, calls and entertainment. Other tech on board includes digital key plus, Head-Up Display, Harman Kardon surround sound, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, remote services and remote software upgrades.
Driving modes adjust lighting, sound and display graphics to suit the selected character and options include the race-inspired Go-Kart Mode, the efficiency-based Green Mode and the Vivid Mode among others. Power comes from a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine producing 204 hp and 300 Nm of torque and is linked with a 7-speed dual-clutch Steptronic Sport transmission with a Boost Mode function.

The 0 to 100 kmph sprint takes 6.9 seconds and top speed is rated at 240 kmph. Safety equipment includes front and side curtain airbags, rollover protection, ABS, Dynamic Stability Control, Brake Assist, Cornering Brake Control and a rear view camera. The car comes with a standard two-year unlimited kilometre warranty, two years of 24×7 roadside assistance and a service plan starting from three years or 40,000 km – extendable up to ten years or one lakh kilometres.
