MG Majestor will become the brand’s flagship SUV upon arrival and it will be powered by a 2.0L twin turbo diesel engine developing 215 hp
Ahead of its official market entry, MG Motor India has confirmed that the all-new MG Majestor will have its prices revealed on April 27, 2026. Expected to sit in the Rs 40 lakh to Rs 45 lakh (ex-showroom) bracket, the forthcoming SUV will take on well-established competitors such as the Toyota Fortuner, Jeep Meridian and Skoda Kodiaq.
The Majestor is essentially stepping in as the successor to the MG Gloster and will be offered in Sharp and Savvy trims with both 6- and 7-seat configurations. It was first showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 before the final production version was revealed a few weeks ago. It is sold in a few global markets too based on the same Maxus D90 platform.
Underneath, the MG Majestor carries forward the familiar 2.0-litre twin turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine seen in the Gloster. The motor develops 215 hp maximum power and 478.5 Nm of peak torque and is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. A proper four-wheel drive system with low-range gearing is part of the package along with segment-first three locking differentials.

It also gains selectable terrain modes such as Snow, Mud, Sand, Rock and Normal. The cabin comes with a dark theme complemented by metallic accents. A pair of 12.4-inch displays dominate the dashboard – one serving infotainment duties and the other acting as the digital instrument cluster while the equipment levels are also extensive.
Some of the highlights in the full-size SUV are a panoramic sunroof, 12-speaker JBL sound system, powered tailgate, three-zone climate control and dual wireless charging pads, ventilated and massaging front seats, electrically adjustable seats with memory function, multiple airbags, a suite of Level 2 ADAS, TPMS, HHA, HDC, EPB, a 360-degree camera system and more.

On the outside, the SUV carries a muscular appeal which is complemented by its upright stance. The front end is characterised by a large gloss-black grille, vertically arranged LED headlamps and slim LED Daytime Running Lights. Prominent body cladding, a silver skid plate and 19-inch dual-tone alloy wheels are accompanied by side steps, LED tail lamps with brand lettering and dual exhaust outlets are also present.
