Kia recorded a domestic tally of 24,552 units in the month of June 2026 with a 19 per cent year-on-year increase
Kia India dispatched 24,552 units in the month of June 2026 by registering a 19 per cent year-on-year increase compared to 20,625 units sold during the corresponding month last year. Despite the healthy annual improvement, volumes declined 11 per cent from 27,586 units recorded in May 2026 and the overall performance was supported by good numbers for the Seltos and Sonet.
The Seltos retained its position as Kia’s best-selling PV after recording a total of 9,654 units in June. The midsize SUV delivered the highest year-on-year surge within the brand’s domestic portfolio with dispatches jumping 85 per cent from 5,225 units in June 2025. On a month-on-month basis, however, volumes slipped 9 per cent from 10,597 units dispatched in May.
The Sonet finished in the second position with 9,231 units as it accounted for another appreciable month for Kia’s SUV fleet. The compact SUV improved 39 per cent over 6,658 units sold a year ago but the total dispatches declined 5 per cent compared to 9,707 units recorded in May. As a whole, the duo of Seltos and Sonet contributed more than three-fourths of Kia’s total sales last month.

The biggest decline within the lineup came from the Carens Clavis which registered 4,847 units. Dispatches fell 39 per cent year-on-year from 7,921 units and were also down 22 per cent compared to May. The Kia Syros recorded 790 units last month. While dispatches improved marginally by 2 per cent compared to June 2025, volumes dropped 18 per cent from 961 units dispatched in May.
At the premium end of the spectrum, the Carnival contributed 30 units with a 36 per cent annual decline and a notable 73 per cent fall on a sequential basis. The EV6 and EV9 did not register any numbers. The Seltos’ emergence as the top performer through an 85 per cent year-on-year increase came courtesy of the massive makeover it received a few months ago.

The Korean auto major is now looking to expand its lineup as the Syros EV is set to arrive in just over a week’s time with two battery options. Additionally, a compact SUV which could be the next iteration of the Sonet has also been caught testing on public roads in recent weeks.
