Chetak EV, 125cc plus Pulsar motorcycles, KTM, Triumph and recovery in exports are expected to play a key role in Bajaj Auto’s next financial year plans
Bajaj Auto’s FY27 plan will not centre around one product line alone as the company is working on parallel action across Chetak electric scooters, 125cc-plus motorcycles, premium bike partnerships and overseas shipments. Chairman Niraj R Bajaj has indicated that the electric scooter business will see work around the product proposition, market standing and profitability.
No battery update, new variant name or launch date has been disclosed in the report but we expect the range to be expanded further taking advantage of the nameplate’s popularity. The 125cc-plus motorcycle space is another priority for the brand as Bajaj wants better competitiveness in this segment through brand-level action, product steps and execution in showrooms.
The report does not name specific motorcycles but the category covers a large part of Bajaj’s domestic bike business. Pulsar remains the obvious volume connection in this space while Freedom 125 brings Bajaj into the 125 cc CNG motorcycle category. Avenger and Dominar sit higher up the displacement ladder and the company’s next moves in this band will be watched closely during FY27. An adventure bike was spotted recently as well along with a new Pulsar N125.

Bajaj Auto also plans to build more pace around KTM and Triumph. The company already has manufacturing and business partnerships with both brands and the annual report points to notable activity following the recent introductions of each brand’s 350 cc lineups. Exports will also receive attention during the financial year as previously mentioned.
Several overseas markets are recovering and Bajaj wants to raise shipments while dealing with freight-related trouble and supply chain disruption. The company already has an appreciable export base from India, so recovery in overseas regions could add support to overall numbers. Bajaj Auto wants to ease supply limitations through expansion – mainly for electric vehicles and premium motorcycles.

Alternate materials and different sourcing routes are also being studied to reduce disruption risk. The Chakan-based manufacturer will keep investing in product development, brand activation, retail initiatives, Bajaj Auto Credit and Bajaj Auto Technology. The finance arm and the R&D business are part of the support structure as you might expect.
