Four new cars expected to be priced from around Rs. 4.75 lakh (ex-showroom) to around Rs. 45 lakh confirmed with launch dates

While there are rumours of around ten new cars yet to be launched later this month, we have already received confirmation for four of them. These four launches will cover ICE, hybrid, and pure electric categories and multiple segments.

1. New Honda City – 22 May

The fifth-generation Honda City and its hybrid variant already received a cosmetic refresh in 2023. They’re set to undergo a second facelift, and this one will be a much more comprehensive update. Honda has fully redesigned the front-end, changed the design of the 16-inch alloy wheels, and given the rear combination lamp transparent lenses to give the car a sportier look.

The new Tata Tiago is set to receive a third facelift as it enters its eleventh year on the market. The new model will likely have changes to key soft parts such as the headlamps, front grilles, bumpers, and wheels. Tata Motors may give a new colour option as well. Inside, the company could introduce an LCD instrument cluster, an updated 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and new trim and upholstery. No changes are expected to the engine or transmission options in the new Tiago.

4. New Tata Tiago.ev – 28 May

Launched in September 2022, the Tata Tiago.ev received a facelift in January last year and is set to receive another such update. The electric hatchback should carry the same new look for headlamps and bumpers as its ICE donor, but it should be devoid of an upper grille and have a different design for the lower grille and wheels. The interior updates could be similar to the new Tiago. Tata Motors may introduce a larger, 30 kWh LFP battery pack with a higher range of around 325 kilometres in the Tiago with this refresh.
