From the Atto 3 to the Sealion 7, every BYD electric car in India to get dearer starting July this year

Chinese automaker BYD has announced it will revise the prices of all its cars in India on 1 July. The company has an electric-only line-up in our market, all of which are fully or partially imported. BYD says that it will increase the prices of its cars in India from 1% to 2%, depending on model and configuration. The company states that the depreciating value of the rupee is the chief reason behind the price hike.

Customers booking their BYD EV in May and June will be able to complete their purchase at current prices until 31 July, while those with an existing booking completing their purchase on 1 August or later will have to pay the same new prices that will come into effect on 1 July. BYD has yet to announce the updated prices.

Currently, BYD offers four EVs in India: Atto 3, eMax 7, Seal, and Sealion 7. The Atto 3 is available in Dynamic, Premium, and Superior trims, priced at Rs. 24.99 lakh (ex-showroom), Rs. 29.85 lakh (ex-showroom), and Rs. 33.99 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively. It delivers a range of 410 kilometres in the Dynamic trim and 480 kilometres in the Premium and Superior trims, both as per NEDC. BYD is offering a free maintenance package for up to two years with the Atto 3 this month.
