New Renault Duster has been competitively priced between Rs. 10.29 lakh and Rs. 18.29 lakh (ex-showroom) in India
Now in its third generation, the new Renault Duster arrives with a completely reworked design, significantly improved safety and a far more premium feature list – making it much more competitive in the midsize SUV space than before. Let us begin with pricing and powertrains. The Duster is offered with two turbo petrol engines: a 1.0-litre unit producing 100 hp and 160 Nm paired with a 6-speed manual and a 1.3-litre engine delivering 163 hp and 280 Nm – available with both a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed DCT.
Prices start at Rs 10.49 lakh for the base variant and go up to Rs 18.49 lakh (ex-showroom). A strong hybrid setup will arrive by Diwali 2026 and it has already been sold out for the year. The base Authentic variant is positioned as a safety-first offering. It includes six airbags, ESP, TPMS, LED lighting and a digital driver display along with essentials like manual AC and power windows.
While well-equipped for its price, it lacks modern infotainment and comfort-based features making it best suited for budget-oriented customers. The Evolution variant, though, is a major step up and offers better value. For a reasonable increase in price, it adds a 10.1-inch touchscreen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, cruise control, rear camera and alloy wheels. Crucially, it also unlocks the more powerful 1.3-litre engine.

Moving to the Techno trim, the Duster starts to feel genuinely premium. It brings in a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, wireless smartphone charging, push-button start and a powered tailgate. On the other hand, the Techno+ and Iconic variants look to offer more advanced technologies and features. Equipment such as Level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, ventilated seats, adaptive cruise control and a larger digital cluster up their overall status.
However, the price jump is considerable and these variants are more suited to buyers who want every possible feature. In terms of colours, lower variants get a limited palette while higher trims offer dual-tone options like River Blue, Sunset Red and Mountain Jade Green.

So, which variant should you choose? The Evolution trim apparently offers the best balance between price, features and performance – making it the smartest buy in our opinion.
