Mahindra recorded 6,60,276 unit sales in FY26 as against 5,51,487 units recorded during the same period twelve months ago with a notable 20 per cent growth
Mahindra & Mahindra’s total sales stood at 6,60,276 units last financial year as against 5,51,487 units recorded during the same period twelve months ago with a notable 20 per cent growth. The brand finished second in the overall manufacturers’ sales standings ahead of Tata Motors, Hyundai, Toyota and Kia courtesy of the good reception for almost its entire range of SUVs.
Starting right at the top, the Mahindra Scorpio continues to be the best-seller within Mahindra’s local portfolio. With 1,78,800 units, it comfortably leads the charts by growing 8 per cent year-on-year. It is not an explosive growth but it doesn’t need to be as this is a mature high-volume nameplate doing exactly what Mahindra expects of it over the last two decades.
Then comes the Thar series which comprises the three-door Thar and the larger Thar Roxx. Jumping to 1,26,261 units, it has clocked a massive 49 per cent rise on a YoY basis. The Bolero, meanwhile, keeps doing its no-nonsense job with 1,10,136 units and a steady 16 per cent increase as the mid-life update received for the Bolero and Bolero Neo made its presence felt.

The XUV 3XO has crossed the 1 lakh mark at 1,03,341 units. A 5 per cent growth may not sound like much but in a crowded compact SUV space, holding ground is half the battle won and the rebranded XUV 300 has ticked all the right boxes. Now, the flip side. The XUV700 has dropped to 57,986 units – down by 38 per cent.
It is understandable considering that its replacement arrived a few months ago. The XUV 7XO sits at 29,426 units as its initially reception has been nothing but positive. The XEV 9e has surged to 27,336 units from just 5,422 units – up a staggering 404 per cent. The BE 6 has gone even more aggressive percentage-wise – up 521 per cent to 16,313 units.

At the same time, the XUV400 has slipped badly to 2,400 units – down 69 per cent, suggesting it is losing relevance as newer EVs come in. The XEV 9S, the newest entry into the born-electric lineup, posted a total of 7,896 units while the Marazzo has recorded 381 units despite a 130 per cent rise.
