New spy images of the 2027 Toyota Innova Hycross provide the clearest look yet at the cabin while the exterior remains heavily concealed
As confirmed by the new set of images, Toyota has been road testing the Innova Hycross facelift and it offers the best view yet of the updated cabin. While heavy camouflage continues to conceal the exterior, the images show that Toyota’s attention has moved towards tech-based upgrades inside the MPV instead of a comprehensive interior redesign.
The dashboard retains the familiar layered layout but the centre of attention is what appears to be a larger touchscreen infotainment system. The display looks noticeably bigger than the current 10.1-inch unit and could measure around 12 inches. Toyota could also introduce an updated operating system with revised graphics and additional functions.
The digital instrument cluster may receive a similar upgrade with a larger display replacing the existing 7-inch TFT unit with a more modern graphical treatment. The steering wheel, centre console, gear selector and other bits appear unchanged while the dual-tone cabin theme looks to have been retained. We do expect new features to be added in the top-end trims.

The front bumper carries additional cladding around the corners pointing towards a revised design while the headlamp clusters remain fully covered. New alloy wheels do not appear to be part of the update and in a similar fashion, the tail lamps retain a familiar outline. However, revised lighting elements cannot be ruled out and the bumper may also get attention with thicker camouflage covering its lower section.
The earlier test mule had already hinted at revisions to the front fascia, grille and lighting elements but do not expect any massive changes. The facelift is expected to retain the existing 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol and 2.0-litre strong hybrid petrol powertrains. Toyota could introduce a Flex Fuel derivative with the update.

More details are expected to emerge as testing continues ahead of the model’s global debut possibly later this year or in early 2027. The Japanese auto major could also be working on a lower spec Hycross while an all-new electric MPV based on the same platform as the Urban Cruiser Ebella could also arrive in the near future.
