JSW MG Motor India says Windsor has sold more than 19,000 units in H1 CY2026 with two EVs and one PHEV set to join its domestic range this financial year
JSW MG Motor India has today announced that the Windsor has crossed 75,000 unit sales in less than two years since its launch. The electrified crossover has also sold more than 19,000 units in H1 CY2026 keeping it at the front of India’s EV sales chart during the period. The milestone comes at a time when MG’s electric portfolio is driving a large share of the company’s domestic volumes.
As a result, the company has posted 13 per cent year-on-year growth in H1 CY2026 compared to the same period last CY – helped largely by the Windsor EV along with Comet EV and ZS EV and its ICE portfolio. MG calls it an ABC proposition as it looks to offer the price point of an A-segment model, exterior dimensions closer to a B-segment car and cabin space closer to a C-segment vehicle.
The formula has helped it attract families who want EV running costs without moving to a small hatchback. The MG Windsor EV is offered under the Battery-as-a-Service scheme with prices starting at Rs. 9.99 lakh along with Rs. 3.9 per km for the battery usage. The Windsor is good enough to kick out 136 PS maximum power and 200 Nm of peak torque.

Customers can choose between a 38 kWh battery pack with a 332 km claimed range and a 52.9 kWh battery pack in the Pro variant with a 449 km claimed range. The interior is one of the Windsor’s significant talking points. Its ‘Aero Lounge’ seats can recline up to 135 degrees while the 15.6-inch touchscreen sits at the centre of the dashboard taking care of all the main functions as it acts as a hub.
MG has coupled the lounge-like rear seat configuration with a flat-floor cabin, wide glass area and a high equipment count to target family audiences. The brands appears to be planning to increase the local content of the Windsor EV to 70 per cent as part of supporting double digit volume growth and reduce external impacts on production activities.
