Kia records 19 per cent growth in June 2026 as first half sales cross 1.63 lakh units for the first time in India
Kia India registered its highest ever June wholesale sales since entering the Indian market late last decade by dispatching 24,552 units in June 2026. Compared to the 20,625 units sold during the same period last year, the company posted a 19 per cent year-on-year increase continuing its good run in multiple passenger car segments.
The automaker also completed its best sales ever in the first half of a calendar year. Between January and June 2026, the Korean automaker dispatched 1,63,749 units – recording 15.2 per cent growth over the 1,42,139 units sold during the corresponding period last year. The Seltos remained one of Kia’s biggest volume contributors during the first six months of the year.
The midsize SUV has continued to draw customers with its heavily updated styling, revised features list and a more premium technology package while also being Bharat NCAP five-star safety rated. According to the company, a sizeable number of existing Kia owners have also upgraded to the new Seltos. The Sonet also continues to support monthly volumes in the compact SUV category.

The company’s retail and after-sales footprint has also expanded in India. Kia now operates through 892 touchpoints spread across 407 cities while its certified pre-owned business comprises 133 outlets. The wider network supports sales, service and exchange programmes for both established and emerging markets have proven to be successful as well.
According to Kia, the continued popularity for the new Seltos, Sonet, Carens, Carens Clavis, MY2026 Syros and Clavis EV has played a major role in the June and first half sales performance. Speaking on the sales volume, Atul Sood, Sr. Vice President, Sales & Marketing said,
