Tata’s upcoming EV portfolio will cover Sierra EV, Tigor EV facelift, Avinya, Safari EV and a possible three-row electric MPV in India
Tata Motors is preparing another round of electric launches for India after expanding its EV portfolio with models such as the Tiago EV, Nexon EV, Punch EV, Curvv EV and Harrier EV while the updated Tiago EV and Tiago EV recently joined the range. The next list is expected to cover the Sierra EV, an updated Tigor EV, Avinya flagship and two more models.
1. Tata Sierra EV
The Sierra EV will be the first of these models to reach showrooms as we already know. Tata has scheduled the electric SUV for launch on June 30 and recent teasers have revealed the exterior in full. The SUV gets a boxy stance, full-width LED lighting, split headlamps, flush door handles, dual-tone aero wheels, black cladding and Sierra.ev badging at the rear.
The cabin has also been teased briefly. The video shows a flat-bottom steering wheel, paddle shifters and a large central touchscreen which could be the 12.3-inch unit seen in the ICE Sierra. High-end variants are also expected to get connected tech, panoramic sunroof, JBL audio, Dolby Atmos, powered front seats, powered tailgate and Level 2 ADAS.

The Sierra EV could sit between the Curvv EV and Harrier EV. Tata has already confirmed dual-motor AWD hardware through a QWD Dual Motor badge in teaser. Battery details are not official yet but the top variants could share 65 kWh and 75 kWh packs with the Harrier EV along with V2L, V2V and DC fast-charging support.
2. Tata Tigor EV Facelift
The Tigor EV facelift is another model to watch. Tata has patented the facelifted ICE Tigor design in India and the EV derivative could receive the same exterior and cabin revisions before the end of this year. The update should follow the latest Tiago facelift’s direction with a reworked nose, revised bumpers, new lighting details and updated alloy wheel design.

The current Tigor EV is listed from Rs. 12.49 lakh and offers a claimed range of up to 315 km. The facelifted version is expected to retain the compact sedan positioning while Tata may add a new touchscreen, digital cluster, extra connected functions and revised trim materials. A larger battery pack could help it appeal to more consumers.
3. Tata Avinya EV

The Avinya will sit much higher in Tata’s EV plan. The concept previewed Tata’s Gen 3 pure-electric architecture and a new upmarket cabin-first body style. The production model is expected before the end of this financial year or in the first half of the next financial year. Tata has not released final specifications yet but Avinya will be positioned as a more advanced EV family above the current models taking inputs from JLR as it will likely be based on a derivative of the EMA platform.
4. Tata Safari EV

The three-row electric SUV is expected to borrow heavily from the Harrier EV including acti.ev+ underpinnings, a large battery pack and possible AWD hardware for top trims. The Safari EV could give Tata a seven-seat electric SUV option to compete with Mahindra’s top-selling XEV 9S. It could be one of the five models planned by the brand as two models’ identity remains a mystery.
5. Tata Electric MPV

The fifth model could be a three-row electric MPV. Tata has not confirmed the production name or body style yet but a family-based electric MPV could give the company another option above the current compact and midsize EVs targetting the forthcoming Maruti Suzuki YMC, its Toyota derivative and Kia Carens Clavis EV.
