Tata Motors has lined-up several new models in the ICE and EV segments for FY27 in the Indian market, including the Avinya premium EV
Tata Motors is all set to launch a plethora of new models in the ICE as well as the EV segment in India. The launches will include multiple new models while facelifted versions of its existing popular cars are also likely to go on sale in FY27 in the Indian market. Hence, in the next 9-10 months, several new Tata cars will be introduced across different segments in the country. Let’s talk in detail about the upcoming Tata cars in FY27.
1. 2026 Tata Tiago
The brand recently unveiled the 2026 Tiago ahead of its official launch on May 28 in the domestic market. It gets a complete makeover in terms of styling while the cabin is likely to be the same with a handful of updates. Some of the prominent visual enhancements include new headlamps with eyebrow-shaped LED daytime running lamps (DRLs), refreshed alloy wheel design, pixel-shaped fog lamps and restyled tail-lamp cluster.

Inside the cabin, the 2026 Tata Tiago, for the first time, will get a new 360-degree camera. In addition, it is expected to come with an updated driver’s display and 6-airbags as standard features. Mechanically, it will continue with the same naturally-aspirated 1.2L petrol engine which generates max power of 86 bhp and peak torque of 113 Nm while paired to 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox options.

2. 2026 Tata Tiago EV
Identical to its ICE counterpart, the all-electric version of the hatchback will be rolled out with a fresh design on May 28, 2026. The cosmetic updates at the outside will be similar to the ICE model, except for the body-coloured blanked-off front grille in place of the conventional black grille. However, it will miss out on the fog lamps. The 2026 Tiago EV will ride on 14-inch alloy wheels while the ICE model boasts of 15-inch units.

The cabin will get similar feature updates as the petrol-powered version and we can expect an updated driver’s display, 360-degree camera and 6-airbags among others. Presently, the Tiago EV is powered by 19.2 kWh and 24 kWh battery packs with driving ranges of 223 km and 293 km, respectively, on a full charge. It is learnt that Tata Motors could pack the 2026 Tiago EV with bigger battery options for a higher range.
3. Tata Sierra EV
Tata Motors has confirmed the launch of the Sierra EV in Q2 FY27 in the Indian market. It will be positioned between Curvv EV and Harrier EV as it goes on sale in the next 2-3 months. Tata Sierra EV will borrow the single-motor RWD and dual-motor AWD setups from the Harrier EV. The all-electric SUV will be locally manufactured at Sanand facility in Gujarat, alongside its ICE sibling.

Some of the notable features onboard the Sierra EV could be Vehicle-to-Load (V2L), Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) charging, Panoramic sunroof, Powered and ventilated front seats, and Drive modes. It is likely to boast of the triple-screen setup which comprises of a 10.25-inch digital driver display, a 12.3-inch central touchscreen and a 12.3-inch passenger screen.

4. Tata Safari EV

Being the brand’s first three-row, seven-seater all-electric SUV, Tata Safari will be launched during the festive season of Diwali later this year. It will be Tata’s flagship electric SUV while taking on the likes of Mahindra XEV 9S, Kia Carens Clavis EV and BYD eMax 7. Tata Safari EV will be packed with the same 65 kWh and 75 kWh battery packs as the Harrier EV. The single-motor RWD and dual-motor AWD setups are also likely to make their way in the electric SUV.
5. Tata Avinya

Tata Motors has confirmed the debut of the first production-ready model under Avinya premium brand by the end of FY27. Hence, it should not come as a surprise if we get to see the first Avinya premium EV at the 2027 Bharat Mobility Global Expo in February. Likely to be a massive electric SUV, it will use Tata’s first born-electric architecture with the skateboard layout. Needless to mention, Tata Avinya will get a driving range of more than 500 km on a single charge while pricing could be around Rs 30 lakh (ex-showroom).
6. 2026 Tata Tigor & Tigor EV

The ICE and EV models of the Tigor could also be updated in the similar fashion as the Tiago ICE and EV while launching somewhere around the mid of this year. The facelifted sedan will get a radical makeover in terms of styling, while equipped with latest features. The engine specs and battery options are expected to be carried over from the ongoing version.
