As many as four new Maruti Suzuki cars are expected to launch in India over the next 12 to 18 months and here we have explained them
The development pipeline of Maruti Suzuki is getting busier than it has been in a while. Four products – a compact SUV facelift, an all-new electric MPV and updates to two of its popular hatchback and crossover nameplates – have all been spotted undergoing testing on Indian roads in recent months pointing to launches spread across the remainder of 2026 and into 2027.
1. Maruti Suzuki Brezza Facelift
The Brezza facelift has been the most frequently spotted of the four with heavily camouflaged prototypes turning up across multiple locations over the past several months. Exterior changes are expected to be minimal – revised alloy wheels, tweaked body cladding and updated lighting elements – while the interior gets the more substantive treatment with a larger 10.1-inch touchscreen replacing the current 9-inch unit along with improved connected features.
The CNG variant is set to benefit from an underbody tank relocation – freeing up boot space in a similar to the Victoris. A new six-speed manual gearbox is also expected to replace the current five-speed unit while the 1.5-litre K15C DualJet petrol engine carries over unchanged.

2. Maruti Suzuki YMC Electric MPV
Spy shots of a boxy camouflaged prototype have recently surfaced and it is widely believed to be the YMC – Maruti’s upcoming seven-seat electric MPV. Expected to measure around 4.5 metres in length and share a lot with the e Vitara, the YMC could be positioned as a volume-based family EV with three rows of usable seating. A launch by end of 2026 or early 2027 is on the cards and it will be equipped with two battery packs.
3. Updated Maruti Suzuki Fronx
The Fronx has been a consistent volume contributor since launch and is now due for an update. Test mules suggest the changes will be cosmetic as revised exterior elements and cabin updates are expected with the turbocharged and naturally aspirated petrol powertrains continuing unchanged while flex fuel tech and ADAS could be introduced. The update is expected to keep the Fronx competitive against the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Exter, etc.

4. Updated Maruti Suzuki Baleno
The Baleno is also in line for a refresh with camouflaged test vehicles spotted on Indian roads pointing to exterior styling updates and interior improvements. Feature additions are likely to be the main area of focus bringing the cabin in line with rivals in the premium hatchback space. The 1.2-litre petrol engine is expected to continue with the update targetted at refreshing a model that has been largely unchanged since its current generation launched in 2022.
