New Renault Duster 1.3L DCT is available in Evolution, Techno, Techno+, Iconic and Iconic LE variants
Renault revealed prices for the new generation Duster a while ago and the DCT prices are the definitive standout especially for the base trim. The entry-level Turbo TCe 160 DCT variant starts at Rs. 14.49 lakh (ex-showroom) – making it one of the most affordable dual-clutch automatic SUVs in the country.
Positioned against the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder and Honda Elevate, the new Duster plays aggressively on value while offering a range of powertrain options. The DCT-equipped range begins from the Evolution trim and is powered by Renault’s new 1.3-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 163 hp.
Customers looking for a more affordable option can opt for the 1.0-litre Turbo TCe 100 engine coupled with a six-speed manual transmission. Renault has also confirmed an ARAI-certified fuel efficiency figure of 19.41 kmpl for the Turbo TCe 100 – one of the efficient turbo petrol SUVs in the segment.

Built on the all-new RGMP architecture, the new Duster brings a substantial upgrade in technology, safety and equipment. On the feature front, the Evolution DCT gets a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a six-speaker Arkamys audio system, a rear-view camera and cruise control. Exterior highlights are LED DRLs, automatic LED headlamps, a full-width LED rear light bar, 17-inch alloy wheels, black roof rails and a shark-fin antenna.
On the inside, buyers of this particular variant get a 7-inch TFT driver display with turn-by-turn navigation support, electrically adjustable ORVMs, steering-mounted controls, rear AC vents, keyless entry, front and rear Type-C charging ports, rear wiper and washer, rear defogger and paddle shifters mounted behind the steering wheel.
Renault has equipped the Evolution variant with a comprehensive safety package comprising six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, traction control, cornering stability control, hill start assist, TPMS, ISOFIX child-seat mounts and three-point seatbelts for all occupants. The DCT version also benefits from an electronic parking brake with auto-hold.
The brand appears to be targeting consumers who want turbo-petrol performance without stretching into higher price brackets. The availability of both manual and DCT gearbox options alongside a feature-rich package helps the Duster regain relevance in one of India’s most competitive PV segments.
