New Maruti Suzuki cars are about to get dearer soon. The company has announced that it will roll out a price hike of up to Rs. 30,000 across its portfolio in June. Maruti Suzuki says that it did make efforts to offset rising costs for the past few months, but now the pressure from inflation is at a level where it has to pass on a part of the cost to the market. The company states that the price hike will vary depending on the model, but has yet to give a specific breakdown.

Maruti Suzuki sells its cars through three types of dealerships: Arena, Nexa, and Commercial. At Arena, the range starts with the S-Presso, priced at Rs. 3,49,900 (ex-showroom). The entry-level hatchback range includes even the Alto K10, Celerio, and Wagon R, the ex-showroom prices of which start at Rs. 3,69,900, Rs. 4,69,900, and Rs. 4,98,900, respectively.

The Swift is the most expensive hatchback available at Arena showrooms, priced from Rs. 5,78,900 (ex-showroom). Its sedan version, the Dzire, costs Rs. 6,25,600 (ex-showroom). Between these two there’s the Eeco, priced at Rs. 5,20,900 (ex-showroom). The SUV line-up includes the Brezza and Victoris, the prices of which start at Rs. 8,25,900 and Rs. 10,49,900, both ex-showroom. There’s also an MPV included in the line-up – the Ertiga, which costs Rs. 8,80,000 (ex-showroom) onwards.

The Commercial showrooms comprise five models, all of which are just renamed, stripped-down versions of cars from Arena. The range starts with the Tour H1, a taxi adaptation of the Alto K10, priced at Rs. 3,99,900 (ex-showroom). Then there’s the Tour H3, a taxi based on the Wagon R, with prices starting at Rs. 4,98,900 (ex-showroom). Above this hatchback is the Tour V, derived from the Eeco and priced from Rs. 5,18,100 (ex-showroom). The Tour S, the taxi based on the Dzire, is the only sedan in the line-up and costs Rs. 6,23,800 (ex-showroom) onwards. The priciest model in the Commercial range is the Tour M, the taxi version of the Ertiga, priced at Rs. 9,82,400 (ex-showroom).

Through Nexa, Maruti Suzuki offers eight premium cars, starting with the Ignis, which costs Rs. 5,35,100 (ex-showroom). The company recently stopped manufacturing the Ignis, which means the model would soon disappear from the line-up, once dealerships run out of inventory. The Baleno, which costs Rs. 5,98,900 (ex-showroom), will become the new entry-level model at Nexa. The Fronx, the crossover derived from Baleno, retails at Rs. 6,84,900 (ex-showroom) in the base trim.

Above the Fronx, Maruti Suzuki offers the Grand Vitara, for a starting price of Rs. 10,76,500 (ex-showroom). Then there’s the XL6, a crossover-style MPV derived from the Ertiga, and it costs Rs. 11,52,300 rupees (ex-showroom) in the base configuration. The off-road-focused Jimny is positioned above the people mover, priced from Rs. 12,31,500 (ex-showroom).

The e Vitara, Maruti Suzuki’s first electric model, is its flagship SUV. It is priced from Rs. 15,99,900 (ex-showroom), although a BaaS option is available, in which the vehicle cost and EMI start at Rs. 10,99,000 (ex-showroom) and Rs. 3.99/km, respectively. The company’s flagship model across the line-up and among all sales channels is the Invicto, a large MPV derived from the Toyota Innova Hycross. It is available with only a hybrid powertrain, with ex-showroom prices starting at Rs. 24,97,400.
