2026 Honda City Facelift & ZR-V Hybrid To Launch In India Tomorrow

2026 Honda City Facelift (2)

2026 Honda City Facelift and ZR-V Hybrid will help consolidate the brand’s domestic lineup with the latter likely arriving via CBU route

Honda India has had a difficult few years in the midsize sedan space as the City has been losing ground to its rivals such as Volkswagen Virtus and Skoda Slavia. May 22 is Honda India’s attempt for redemption as two launches will take place on the same day with the City facelift addressing the feature gap and the ZR-V opening up a new premium territory for the brand.

The 2026 Honda City facelift brings plenty of cosmetic changes at the front. A wider mesh pattern grille, sleeker LED headlamps, a revised bumper with fog lamps repositioned into lower triangular housings and the Honda badge moved from the grille to the bonnet give the sedan a fresher face. New alloy wheels are also part of the update on the side profile.

Meanwhile, the rear gets revised tail lamps and updated bumpers. Inside, ventilated front seats, a 360 degree camera and an updated touchscreen infotainment system are among the additions expected across the range. The 121 hp 1.5-litre petrol and 126 hp hybrid powertrains carry over with manual and CVT transmission options.

Pricing is expected from Rs 12.50 lakh ex showroom for the petrol and around Rs 20.50 lakh for the hybrid. The ZR-V arrives as a completely built up import priced around Rs. 45 lakh (ex showroom) taking on the Volkswagen Tiguan and Skoda Kodiaq. At 4,568 mm long, 1,840 mm wide and 1,620 mm tall on a 2,657 mm wheelbase, it sits noticeably lower and wider than the Elevate with rounded crossover proportions rather than an upright SUV stance.
