Mahindra Thar 2025 3-Door Updated

In April 2026, Mahindra garnered a domestic tally of 56,331 units as against 52,330 units with a YoY growth of 8 per cent

The Mahindra BE 6 doubling its year-on-year volume to 1,170 units from 550 units in April 2025 enduring a 113 per cent jump was one of the key highlights in Mahindra’s premium sales last month. However, its sequential numbers declined from March’s 1,495 units understandably as it was the final month of the FY.

The total domestic SUV sales came in at 56,331 units – up 8 per cent from 52,330 units in April 2025 but down 7 per cent from March 2026’s tally of 60,272 units. The Scorpio held the top spot with 14,719 units but it slipped 5 per cent year-on-year from 15,534 units. Sequentially it was marginally ahead of March at 14,578 units.

It was one of the few models in the lineup to post a month-on-month improvement. The Mahindra Thar followed in the second position with 10,459 units – down 2 per cent year-on-year from 10,703 units and 4 per cent lower than March’s 10,872 units. The Bolero placed third with 8,917 units – up 6 per cent year-on-year from 8,380 units.

The XUV 7XO came in at fourth with 8,630 units while the XUV 3XO was positioned fifth with 7,517 units – virtually flat year-on-year but down a notable 18 per cent from March’s 9,199 units. The XEV 9S contributed 3,242 units and it has quickly emerged as one of the best-selling passenger electric vehicles in the country.

The Mahindra XEV 9e, on the other hand, declined 34 per cent year-on-year to 1,611 units from 2,441 units registered during the same period twelve months ago. The XUV 400 continued its wind-down with just 66 units – down 80 per cent year-on-year as Mahindra’s INGLO platform based models are increasingly preferred by customers.

Mahindra XEV 9e-4

Mahindra is currently preparing to bring in a slew of new SUVs to the Indian market as the upcoming NU_IQ monocoque platform will give rise to different body types. In addition, the INGLO base will see expansion on the back of good reception since its launch.
