Hero posted a record total dispatches of 5,66,086 units in April 2026 against 3,05,406 units with an 85 per cent year-on-year jump
Hero MotoCorp has started the new financial year in emphatic fashion by recording total dispatches of 5,66,086 units in April 2026 against 3,05,406 units with an 85 per cent year-on-year jump. The surge was due to a combination of ICE volumes, record EV growth under the Vida sub-brand and global business performance.
The domestic retail numbers were equally strong with 5,52,713 Vahan registrations showing a growth of 8 per cent over the same period last year. Motorcycles accounted for 5,01,791 units of the total dispatches while scooters contributed 64,295 units. The local dispatches stood at 5,32,433 units and exports added 33,653 units to the total.
The ICE segment recorded its highest-ever April dispatch in the post-pandemic period with volumes rising 83 per cent compared to April 2025. Its growth was spread across different categories the brand competes in. The company also added 70 new touchpoints during the month including new Premia outlets taking it to a total of 132 outlets across India.

Vida, Hero MotoCorp’s electric mobility arm, was the key performer again in percentage terms. Dispatches more than doubled year-on-year with a 129 per cent growth rate. The brand also made it into the Asia Book of Records during April with a Vida VX2 covering 10,500 km across every IPL host city – the longest electric two-wheeler journey on record.
Two KKR-linked campaigns pledged fast charger installations for every six hit by the team. On the product front, Hero MotoCorp launched a new campaign for the Xoom scooter range with actor Ishaan Khatter as brand ambassador. The international biz continued its positive run with dispatches of 33,653 units during the month.

With ICE at record April levels, Vida doubling dispatches and global business tracking upward, Hero MotoCorp looks to be in a good position for this FY.
