Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has introduced a new Vibe edition of the Grand i10 Nios in the domestic market with updated styling elements, new features and a new colour option to keep the popular hatchback competitive in its segment. It is worth mentioning that the compact hatchback has already crossed 5 lakh customers in India.

The new Hyundai Grand i10 Nios Vibe edition is based on the Sportz and Sportz (O) variants and comes with a few cosmetic upgrades. These include black interiors with red inserts, black-painted alloy wheels and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. One of the biggest highlights is the addition of a dashcam – a segment-first feature.

It is offered not just in the Vibe edition but also in the Asta variant. The dashcam supports multiple recording modes including driving, emergency, event, vacation, on-demand video and even photo capture with footage accessible via a dedicated mobile app. As for the features, the Vibe edition offers an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity.

Customers also get cruise control, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, projector headlamps and a comprehensive safety package including six airbags and tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS). The Sportz (O) VIBE variant additionally gets a smart key with a push-button start system. Under the hood, the hatchback uses the familiar 1.2-litre Kappa petrol engine.

It is available with both 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox options. Hyundai has also introduced a new Titan Grey Matte exterior paint which is the only matte colour option in the segment. In terms of pricing, the Grand i10 Nios Vibe edition starts at Rs. 7.09 lakh for the Sportz Vibe manual variant while the AMT version is priced at Rs. 7.61 lakh.

The more feature-loaded Sportz (O) VIBE AMT is priced at Rs. 7.73 lakh. Meanwhile, the Asta variant now equipped with the dashcam is priced at Rs. 7.50 lakh for the manual and Rs. 8.02 lakh for the AMT (all prices ex-showroom). Speaking on the new launch, Amit Dhaundiyal, Head, Product Strategy & Planning, Hyundai Motor India Limited, said,

“Alongside the VIBE edition, the addition of Dashcam in both the VIBE edition and Asta variant addresses the growing focus on road safety while also adding engaging features like photo capture and more. Further, the introduction of the new Titan Grey Matte colour resonates with the lifestyle and aspirations of our customers.”
