Mercedes-Benz posted 19,363 units in FY26 as it ended up leading the luxury segment with its highest-ever annual sales
Mercedes-Benz India finished FY26 with its highest-ever annual sales as it posted 19,363 units which slightly up from 18,928 units in the previous fiscal. The growth was due to the good reception for luxury models like S-Class, Maybach range, AMG models and the EQS SUV which grew by 16 per cent and contributed 27 per cent to the brand’s overall volumes.
The volume consistency continued into 2026 with the company recording Q1 sales of 5,131 units with a 7 per cent year-on-year increase compared to 4,775 units in Q1 2025. One of the biggest highlights remains the strong demand for high-end luxury vehicles as waiting periods for select models in this category now stretch from four months up to a year – especially for the popular AMG G63 and the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class.
Battery-powered vehicles now make up 20 per cent of all top-end sales with this segment witnessing an 85 per cent growth over the last fiscal. Models like the EQS SUV have emerged as top performers – particularly in the ultra-luxury EV space priced above Rs. 1.4 crore. Mercedes-Benz is further consolidating its EV presence with the upcoming launch of the all-new CLA electric on April 24, 2026.

Meanwhile, cars like the C-Class and the long-wheelbase E-Class sedan along with SUVs such as the GLC and GLE remained notable contributors. In fact, the LWB E-Class continued to hold its position as the best-selling luxury car in India. On the product front, Mercedes-Benz has introduced two new AMG performance machines.
The AMG A45 S 4MATIC+ Aero Track Edition is priced at Rs. 87 lakh (ex-showroom) and features a 2.0-litre engine producing 421 hp and 500 Nm. It is capable of sprinting from 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.9 seconds and gets an aerodynamics package with a fixed rear wing, high-gloss black elements and motorsport-inspired enhancements.

It benefits from the AMG Dynamic Plus package which includes active roll stabilisation, high-performance brakes and an AMG performance steering wheel. Additional features like AMG Track Pace allow drivers to monitor real-time performance data.
Mercedes-Benz plans to further expand its presence with over 20 new luxury outlets in 2026 including entry into emerging markets like Visakhapatnam and Varanasi. Backed by an investment of over Rs. 450 crore from franchise partners, the brand is also upgrading its retail experience with new-age formats and digital integration.
