Triumph Tracker 400 uses a revised TR-series 350 cc engine that produces 40 PS at 8,750 rpm in a similar fashion to the Thruxton 400

Triumph Motorcycles has expanded its modern-classic portfolio with the introduction of the all-new Tracker 400 which is priced at Rs. 2,46,225 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Drawing heavy inspiration from flat-track racing, the motorcycle combines retro design elements with a street-based attire giving the motorcycle a minimalistic look.

Powering the new offering is a revised TR-series 350 cc engine that produces 40 PS at 8,750 rpm in a similar fashion to the Thruxton 400. The motor is said to be tuned to deliver responsive performance while maintaining everyday rideability with engaging character. As for the styling, the Tracker 400 gets race-inspired design elements.

It features a sculpted fuel tank with knee recesses, a compact flyscreen, a colour-matched seat cowl and a distinctive number board displaying “400”. The styling is further enhanced by aggressive graphics, racing stripes and mud-splatter detailing that extend across the bodywork. The rider’s triangle has been adjusted to suit its character.

Wide and flat handlebars combined with repositioned footpegs create a more commanding stance according to the brand. It is supported by a dedicated chassis setup which is said to focus on sharper handling and a more connected riding feel especially in city conditions. On the hardware front, the Tracker 400 is equipped with 43 mm upside-down big piston forks at the front offering 140 mm of travel.

The rear gets a gas-charged monoshock with preload adjustability and the same travel. The setup is paired with dual-purpose tyres featuring a block-pattern tread. The motorcycle also boasts a torque-assist clutch, switchable traction control and dual-channel ABS system. Instrumentation is handled by a single-pod analogue speedometer which is supported by a digital tachometer.

Braking duties are managed by a four-piston radial calliper setup and details like neatly concealed wiring, precision-machined engine fins and high-quality paintwork are some of the other highlights. The Tracker 400 is offered in three colour options namely Racing Yellow, Phantom Black and Aluminium Silver Gloss, and each carrying sporty branding and race-inspired styling cues.

Commenting on the new launch, Manik Nangia, President, Probiking, Bajaj Auto, said: “The Speed 400, Scrambler 400 X, and the Thruxton have seen strong acceptance, expanding Triumph’s appeal to younger riders. Building on this momentum, the Tracker 400 introduces greater choice. With its stripped-back flat track attitude, it delivers more fun, more style, and a distinctly sportier ride.”
