Here we have brought you a rundown of the 5 upcoming sedans that are set to launch soon in India
Even though sports utility vehicle continue to lead overall volumes, the sedan category is now lining up a new round of activity. In the coming months, manufacturers such as Volkswagen, Skoda, Mercedes-Benz and Honda are set to introduce new models and updates to strengthen their presence. Here’s a brief look at the sedans expected to arrive soon.
1. Mercedes-Benz CLA Electric:

Expected to arrive in India around April 2026, Mercedes-Benz is preparing to bring in the all-electric Mercedes-Benz CLA with an estimated price tag of just over 60 lakh (ex-showroom). The India-bound version is likely to be closely aligned with the global CLA 250+ featuring an 85 kWh battery pack that is claimed to deliver a WLTP range of up to 792 km on a single charge.
2. Volkswagen Virtus Facelift:
A mid-cycle update for the Volkswagen Virtus is expected later this year with the focus likely to be on minor cosmetic revisions and a more feature-rich cabin. The changes are set to mirror those planned for the upcoming Taigun facelift. Mechanically, the sedan is unlikely to see major alterations – continuing with the existing 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre turbo petrol engines while a new 8-speed torque converter unit could be added to the range.
3. New Skoda Slavia:

Sharing its base with the Volkswagen Virtus, the Skoda Slavia is also set to receive a lifecycle update in 2026 with subtle design revisions and a more modernised cabin. The exterior could see mild tweaks at the front and rear while the interior may borrow elements from the updated Skoda Kushaq. Under the hood, things are likely to remain largely unchanged but a new torque converter automatic gearbox could be introduced.
4. Honda City Facelift:

Set to receive another round of updates in the second half of 2026, the Honda City will get a series of enhancements despite having already undergone a facelift in 2023. This time, the changes are expected to be more subtle on the outside with minor styling revisions while the cabin could see refreshed upholstery, updated trim finishes and the inclusion of a few additional features to keep it competitive.
5. Skoda Octavia RS:

After witnessing an overwhelming response from enthusiasts in India, Skoda is gearing up to bring another batch of the Skoda Octavia RS towards the end of 2026. The model, which made a comeback in 2025 as a strictly limited-run offering quickly struck a chord with performance-focused buyers. With just 100 units initially allocated, the entire lot was sold out within minutes prompting the brand to plan an additional consignment.
