In the list of most sold MPVs/MUVs in June 2026, Maruti Suzuki Ertiga sat on top ahead of Toyota Innova range, Kia Carens Clavis and others
Maruti Suzuki stayed put leading the MPV/MUV space last month as the Ertiga finished well ahead of every rival. The family mover recorded 16,111 units by improving from 14,151 units in June 2025. It registered a 13.9 per cent year-on-year growth and accounted for an impressive 45 per cent of the entire segment.
Toyota’s combined sales of the Innova Hycross and Innova Crysta led to it occupying second position with 7,332 units. Despite retaining a sizeable 20.5 per cent segment share, the total volumes declined 16.7 per cent compared to 8,802 units sold during the corresponding month last year. The Carens Clavis followed in third after posting 4,847 units.
It registered the steepest decline among the leading models at 38.8 per cent year-on-year while contributing 13.6 per cent of the segment. Maruti Suzuki’s more premium XL6 continued its healthy run by recording 2,711 units with a 34.8 per cent growth when compared to the same period last year. The six-seater accounted for 7.6 per cent of sales during the month.

The Ertiga’s rebadged sibling in the form of Toyota Rumion emerged as a top performer in the segment after volumes surged from 1,415 units to 2,376 units with a substantial 67.9 per cent year-on-year increase and enabling it to climb into the top five. The Renault Triber also maintained positive growth by registering 1,871 units – growing 31.7 per cent compared to the same month last year.
The compact MUV continued to attract customers looking for an affordable three-row vehicle and finished sixth overall. Maruti Suzuki’s flagship Invicto, the badge engineered version of the Innova Hycross, posted 349 units by recording 32.2 per cent growth over June 2025. Among luxury MPVs, the Toyota Vellfire managed a total of 140 units.

The volumes were down 10.3 per cent on a year-on-year basis while the Kia Carnival registered 30 units with a 36.2 per cent decline as well. As a whole, the segment recorded 35,767 unit sales in June 2026 compared to 36,188 units during the corresponding month last year with a 1.2 per cent decline.
