Honda recorded a total of 5,13,217 units in Feb 2026 as against 3,83,918 units with a YoY growth of 33.7 per cent and captured 27.4 per cent market share
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India recorded notable year-on-year gains for key models last month but the month-on-month declines across several volume-based products were more than visible. As ever, the brand continues to rely heavily on its scooter portfolio which is led by the ever-popular Activa available across an expansive portfolio.
The Activa remained the top contributor with 2,54,449 units sold in February 2026 – registering a healthy 46 per cent YoY growth. However, on a month-on-month basis, sales dropped by 6 per cent from January’s 2,71,924 units. The Shine 100 cc commuter saw a massive 114 per cent YoY jump to 32,922 units and also posted a 26 per cent MoM growth.
On the other hand, the Honda Shine 125 recorded a marginal 1 per cent YoY decline despite a 2 per cent MoM increase. The Honda Unicorn lineup also showed stable demand amongst consumers. The motorcycle clocked 36,317 units with a 2 per cent MoM rise. In the scooter space, the Honda Dio range presented contrasting fortunes for the Japanese company.

While the Dio 125 posted 16,669 units with a healthy 44 per cent MoM growth, the entry-level Dio declined by 28 per cent YoY as 11,558 units were registered against 16,028 units and 17 per cent MoM as 13,855 units were garnered in the previous month of January 2026. Honda’s commuter motorcycles such as the Livo and SP160 displayed contrasting results.
The Livo fell by 6 per cent YoY as 3,148 units were sold against 3,361 units during the corresponding period twelve months ago and dropped by 29 per cent MoM in a big manner due to the accumulation of 4,433 units in January 2026 whereas the SP160 surged 124 per cent YoY by registering close to 2,500 units and grew slightly by 1 per cent over January.

Premium offerings like the Honda H’ness CB350 saw a 15 per cent YoY decline as 1,736 units were posted against 2,039 units along with a 25 per cent MoM drop as 2,302 units were managed in the first month of this CY. Other models such as the Honda Hornet 2.0 and Honda CB 200X also recorded varying results, with the latter growing on YoY basis with 1,065 units while the former remained largely flat on a monthly basis and declined YoY with 886 units.
