Upcoming Maruti cars to include models for both Arena and Nexa showrooms, with the latter set to come with electrified powertrains
Maruti Suzuki hasn’t had any major launches recently except for the e Vitara, which is off to a slow start. The company is working on several new products, though, with media reports suggesting five launches are scheduled by next year:
1. New Brezza
On 23 July, Maruti Suzuki will roll out a facelift for the Brezza. The company is expected to introduce minor cosmetic changes such as new bumpers, tweaked headlamps and tail lamps, and new 16-inch alloy wheels. Inside, it could offer a larger, 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system and ventilated front seats along with a driver-side power adjustment.

Level 2 advanced driver assistance systems could improve safety, while a new, 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine option should make the Brezza eligible for the 18% GST rate, bringing its cost down.

2. New Baleno

Following the Brezza, the Baleno will get a facelift this year. Spy shots suggest the facelifted Baleno will feature a new upper grille but the same headlamps. The lower grille and front bumper could carry minor design changes, while the interior could remain unchanged. Maruti Suzuki is unlikely to introduce any mechanical changes.
3. YMC

Maruti Suzuki is developing an electric MPV codenamed ‘YMC’ and has started testing it on public roads. This model is closely related to the e Vitara and should be offered with the same battery packs and powertrains. The electric MPV will feature an SUV-inspired rugged exterior, but the interior should look similar to the e Vitara. It is expected to be launched in early 2027.

4. New Fronx

Following the YMC, Maruti Suzuki will likely launch the facelifted Fronx. Besides the usual dose of cosmetic enhancements, the Fronx is rumoured to receive a series hybrid powertrain, which combines a 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine with an electric motor. The engine would not be connected to the wheels and only serve as a generator, and the electric motor would be the only drive unit. This setup is said to deliver a fuel economy of around 35 km/l.
5. Y43

Sometime in the second half of 2027, Maruti Suzuki could launch an all-new micro-SUV codenamed ‘Y43.’ This model will compete with the Tata Punch and Hyundai Exter. No details about it are available at the moment, though.
