Maruti Suzuki posts strong growth in both domestic sales and exports in June 2026, backed by high demand across segments

Maruti Suzuki, India’s highest automaker by volume, has announced it sold a total of 200,390 vehicles in June. The company recorded a strong growth in sales across segments in the domestic market and a rise in exports as well.

Demand for entry-level hatchbacks like the Alto and S-Presso has been on a rise for a while now. In June 2026, Maruti Suzuki delivered 11,416 units of these models combined, and as compared to 6,414 units in the same month last year, this marked a 78% year-on-year growth.

In a higher segment including pricier hatchbacks such as the Celerio, Wagon R, Swift, Baleno, and Ignis as well as the Dzire and Ciaz sedans, Maruti Suzuki registered 63,815 units in June 2026 sales. This translates to a 16% year-on-year growth (June 2025: 55,205 units).

Moving to SUVs and MPVs, Maruti Suzuki delivered 61,726 units in June 2026. Compared to 47,947 units sold in the same month last year, this marked a 29% growth. The company offers the Fronx, Brezza, Victoris, Ertiga, Grand Vitara, Jimny, XL6, e Vitara, and Invicto in this segment. In the van segment, the Eeco saw roughly 10% year-on-year growth, with a contribution of 10,230 units (June 2025: 9,340 units).

In total, Maruti Suzuki’s passenger vehicle sales stood at 1,47,187 units in June 2026. The volume grew by 24% compared to the same month last year (1,18,906 units). The company’s commercial vehicle sales grew by 22% year-on-year in June 2026, with the Super Carry recording 2,963 units (June 2025: 2,433 units).

Maruti Suzuki also supplies a number of passenger cars to Toyota Kirloskar Motor. Last month, the company delivered 7,472 units to Toyota’s local joint venture, 15% less than in June 2025 (8,812 units). This brought the net domestic volume to 1,57,622 units, up 21% over June 2025 (1,30,151 units). The company exported 42,768 vehicles in June 2026, which marked a 13% year-on-year growth.
