JSW MG Motor sold 7,568 units in June 2026 with EVs accounting for more than 75 per cent of total volumes in India
JSW MG Motor India recorded its highest ever monthly wholesale tally in June 2026 with 7,568 units. The company posted 30 per cent year-on-year growth compared to the same period twelve months ago helped by its mix of ICE and New Energy Vehicle models. Particularly, zero-emission vehicles accounted for more than 75 per cent of the brand’s sales during the month.
As for the numbers, more than 5,600 units came from EVs led by models such as the Windsor EV, Comet EV and ZS EV. The company said lower EV running costs, rising fuel prices and uncertainty in West Asia increased customer interest in electric cars. The June result also comes at a time when JSW MG Motor expanded its SUV portfolio to appeal to more consumers.
Customer deliveries of the recently launched MG Majestor which is a more premium take on the Gloster have commenced already. Positioned as the flagship SUV, it uses a 2.0-litre twin turbo diesel engine kicking out 216 PS and 479 Nm coupled with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Four-wheel drive is available on the top-spec model.

The SUV carries revised exterior styling with a larger grille, vertically stacked LED headlamps, connected LED tail lamps, redesigned bumpers and 19-inch alloy wheels while the cabin packs dual 12.3-inch displays, a panoramic sunroof, powered and ventilated seats, multi-zone climate control and a 12-speaker JBL audio system.
The feature list also includes Level 2 ADAS, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, autonomous emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, a 360-degree camera, electronic parking brake and multiple drive modes. The company’s product portfolio now covers compact EVs, midsize electric SUVs, ICE SUVs and premium models.

The wholesale tally of 7,568 units in June 2026 is now the brand’s new monthly benchmark in India and it will look to further up its volumes. The next few months will show how much the Majestor adds to volumes and whether MG’s EV share can remain above the 75 per cent mark through the second half of the calendar year.
